How does Dr.Worth determine individual esthetics?
Dr. Worth knows that every smile is unique. Each patient has a different facial asymmetry, skeletal structure and skin tone. Dr. Worth considers these characteristics as she examines a patient’s face. She also photographs patients, which allows Dr. Worth and her laboratory technicians to study your facial appearance. Most important, she values your input. Dr. Worth, a former model, has studied esthetic design – she’s a master of artistic dentistry.
What is the process for applying veneers?
During your first appointment, Dr. Worth will prepare your teeth by removing a minimal amount of their outer layer. She will take impressions of your teeth and fabricate beautiful temporaries. At this time, you will have an opportunity to make slight changes to the design of the permanent veneers. When you leave our office your smile will be more attractive than when you arrived. Immediately, the impressions will be sent to a lab that makes permanent porcelain veneers. During your second visit, the veneers will be tried in and permanently bonded to your teeth.
Is the process painful?
We use local anesthetic and Dr. Worth has refined her technique for painless treatment. For patients who require extensive work or have serious concerns, we offer the services of an excellent anesthesiologist who will administer mild intravenous sedation.
How will veneers feel?
Veneers are smooth, just like natural teeth. And they function in the same way. You can enjoy the foods you love to eat, providing that your diet is normal.
